Khartoum, Sept. 20 (MENA/SUNA) - The Director General of the Sudan News Agency (SUNA), Dr. Fikriya Aba Yazid, has expressed her appreciation for choosing the name of late Ustaz Mustafa Amin Ismail, the former director of SUNA, to be honored within the activities of the Arab Ministers of Information meetings of the League of Arab States, which opened session Tuesday in Cairo, stressing that it is a pride for Sudan and the Arab world.

In special statement to the Director of the office of the Egyptian Middle East News Agency (MENA) in Sudan, Dr. Fikriya also expressed her happiness for honoring late Ustaz Mustafa Amin Ismail, stressing that the honor comes as a culmination of a great journey of giving by late former director general of SUNA that was not interrupted except with his departure and his great accomplishments that are a source of proud for the Sudan.

The former director general of SUNA is honored by the League of Arab States among five directors and founders of Arab news agencies.

Dr. Fikriya explained that the biography of late Mustafa Amin is full of many achievements, during which the Sudan News Agency achieved a great leap in technical and professional progress and credibility, and was able to make for itself a place of glory and brilliance among regional news agencies.
