Genaina, Aug. 8 (SUNA) – Vice – President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, received in his residence in Genaina city, the capital of West Darfur State, a delegation of the native administration of East Darfur State, headed by the chieftain of Rezeigat tribe, Mahmoud Musa Maddibu.

 

At the meeting, Daglo appreciated the role of the native administration in uniting the rank and the word and addressing the issues and problems of society, praising the delegation of East Darfur for their stance and support for the reconciliation program taking   place in West Darfur State.

In a press statement, the chieftain of Rezeigat tribe, Mahmoud Musa Maddibu, said that they came to West Darfur State to announce their support for the great efforts made by the Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, for achieving security, peace and stability in the country, especially his efforts to enhance the social fabric and to realize tribal reconciliations in West Darfur state.

He expressed his regret over the killing of 18 persons on the border with Chad, in an unfortunate event that he hoped will not happen again.

Member of the delegation, Mohamed Banani, affirmed that they came to West Darfur to support the reconciliation program, the voluntary return, the implementation of the Juba Peace Agreement, and the achievement of community peace, asserting their support to the endeavors of the Vice – President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council for solving the national problems, especially the problems in West Darfur State.
