Khartoum, February 3 (SUNA) - The Governor of Khartoum State Lt. Gen. Ahmed Abdoun Hammad has affirmed the state’s desire to develop successful partnerships with investors and international organizations working in the field of agricultural and industrial production to increase domestic production, within the framework of the state’s plans to achieve food security.  

The Governor stressed, during a meeting at his office on Tuesday with the Director General of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) Prof. Ibrahim Al-Dekhairi, the state’s readiness to cooperate with the organization to establish pilot production projects that contribute to the creation of more job opportunities for youth and graduates.  


Lt. Gen. Abdoun explained that there were plans to establish high-productivity projects by establishing partnerships with the local and global private sectors to make these plans successful.  


For his part, the AOAD Director General pointed out to the importance of strengthening the relationship between the organization and the State of Khartoum to increase the volume of agricultural and animal production prior to enter the industrial stage in line with the organization's policy aiming at the realization of food security to the Arab citizens, adding that AOAD is working to develop and qualify small and large productive projects, youth and graduate production projects and to provide greenhouses with the best modern technologies in the field of agriculture.  

The meeting underscored the formation of a joint high committee to follow up the implementation of the proposed projects.
